The date for the FEI European Eventing Championships in Luhmühlen has been set

“It’s a gorgeous time of the year to host the Europeans in Luhmühlen as the Heather is in bloom in late August and will turn the landscape purple and green. Hopefully the weather will play along, too”, comments Luhmühlen’s Event Director Julia Otto.

Luhmühlen (GER) to host FEI European Eventing Championships 2019

The German venue of Luhmühlen has been allocated hosting rights to the FEI European Eventing Championships 2019.


Julia Krajewski (GER) wins DHL presents CCI****

After a very exciting final day of show jumping in the four-starevent, Julia Krajewski (GER) wins with Samurai du Thot with 41.10 penalties. British rider Nicola Wilson and Bulana come second with 41.70 penalties, and Bettina Hoy (GER) and Designer third (43.00), after they had a rail and three time faults, which cost her the win.

Bettina Hoy (GER) wins CIC*** Meßmer Trophy and German Championship

Today’s show jumping proved to be exciting indeed. But Bettina Hoy (GER) and Seigneur Medicott (26.30) held their nerves and went clear in the final show jumping phase of the event to finish on their phenomenal dressage score. Michael Jung (GER) with Star Connection (35.60) and Sandra Auffarth (GER) with Opgun Louvo and 36.20 penalties follow in places two and three.


What an amazing day for Bettina Hoy (GER)

After today’s cross-country, Bettina Hoy (GER) and Designer (36.00) are still in the lead in the four-star-event. She is closely followed by Julia Krajewski (GER) with Samurai du Thot (37.10), and Nicola Wilson (GBR) with Bulana (38.70). All three riders stayed within the optimum time of 11:11min.

Bettina Hoy (GER) holds on to her lead in the CIC***

After today’s cross-country, Bettina and Seigneur Medicott are still in the lead of the CIC*** Meßmer Trophy. She stays on her dressage score of 26.30 after finishing on optimum time. Bettina is closely followed by Ingrid Klimke (GER) with both her horses Weisse Düne (32.70), and Horseware Hale Bob OLD (33.30).


She did it again! Bettina Hoy (GER) takes the lead in the DHL presents CCI****

After day two of the four-star-dressage, Bettina Hoy (GER) and Designer take the lead with just 36.00 penalties. As the new overnight leader she is going start in the cross-country phase. In second place are Julia Krajewski (GER) with Samurai du Thot (37.10), followed by Marilyn Little and RF Scandalous (38.00) in third. After a day of sun, wind, rain and excellent sport, everybody is now looking forward to tomorrow’s beautiful cross-country.


Bettina Hoy (GER) stays in the lead of the CIC*** - German riders in top form

After the second day of dressage, Bettina and Seigneur Medicott are still in the lead of the CIC*** Meßmer Trophy. She is closely followed by Ingrid Klimke (GER) with both her horses Horseware Hale Bob OLD (31.30) and Weisse Düne (32.70). The German team are occupying places one to seven. All riders are now looking forward to tomorrow’s beautiful cross-country course.


Marilyn Little (USA) and Bettina Hoy (GER) are overnight leaders in the CCI**** and the CIC***

The last starter in the CCI**** dressage today, Marilyn Little (USA) and RF Scandalous, took the lead with a great score of 38.00 ahead of Nicola Wilson (GBR) with Bulana (38.70) and Oliver Townend (GBR) with Black Tie (43.00). 

The American was quite obviously very happy with the way her mare went in today’s dressage test. “I am incredibly lucky to have a horse like her. It’s my second time here in Luhmühlen and I am very happy to be here with Scandalous. 


HRH The Princess Royal visits Luhmühlen

Luhmühlen’s patron, HRH The Princess Royal Princess Anne visited the venue for its 60th anniversary. 


The jubilee edition of Luhmühlen’s International Three-Day-Event has been kicked off by the DHL presents CCI**** vet inspection

With the vet inspection of the four-star-event, the 60th anniversary edition of Luhmühlen Horse Trials got under way this afternoon. All horses were presented to the jury and the vets in top form. 


Champions set their sights on Luhmühlen

Four-star-events are often referred to as the Champions League of three-day-eventing. Amongst this year's Luhmühlen entries are Badminton winner Andrew Nicholson (NZL), Kentucky winner Michael Jung (GER) and Pau winner Maxime Livio (FRA).

On Thursday, 15 June 2017 HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne will attend Luhmühlen Horse Trials to mark its 60th anniversary
